Ever slowed down as you pass a car crash?

Vaughn a nightmare angel of the motorway gets his erotic kicks from car crashes in Ballard's brilliant and hallucinatory story.

Tuned in to the police radio, his guide to the latest crash-scene, each encounter becomes more macabre than the last.

Directed by Nicholas Broadhurst, designed by the Brothers Quay, LCO's music-theatre version of Crash brings Ballard's novel of fantasy, torn flesh and twisted metal to life.

Crash explodes the union of blood, semen and engine coolant with Elizabeth Taylor.
